The California Bass Contenders traveled to Perris Lake on Saturday for their monthly bass fishing tournament. The anglers met at the Merino Beach entrance and prepared to “kick some bass”!
General Conditions: Overcast morning which yielded to a hot, sunny day in the afternoon
The bass were biting for the members of the Bass Contenders as many limits were brought in. Overall, it sounds like the bite was good in the morning and seemed to slow down during the afternoon, but many anglers still found some fish in the last hours of the tournament.
Mark Pavlinac pulled out the win on this day, scoring his two fish limit and having a combined weight of 8.25lbs. Mark also got big fish of the tournament with a 6.23lb kicker. Big Boat of the tournament was also awarded to Mark and his partner Manny Guillen with a three fish total weighing in at 12.24lbs!
