Thanks to all that participated in December’s Friends of Frankie tournament. On Saturday December 20th, several boats gathered at Lake Perris loaded with friends, fellow Bass Contenders past and present for a day of fishing with the all the proceeds being donated to the family of our brother, Frank Castro. It was a tough bite to say the least, with top honors going to the team of Mark Bowman and Adam Day with 3 fish for 7.15 lbs, followed by Ted Romero and “Smokin” Joe Nava (as Frankie would say) with 3 for 7 lbs.
Although the fishing was tough, I think all that attended would agree, it was more about remembering and celebrating the life of Frankie C. I know it was a special moment for me, when Ted pulled up to my boat over by the Dam and offered me one of Frankie’s favorite beverages, minus the salt and lime. There, the three of us sat and reflected on our times with Frankie. I’m sure there were many conversations and moments like that throughout the day.
RIP Brother Frank.
