Congratulations on his first California Bass Contender win as angler Steve Meza claims victory from the back seat of the blue Champion 206. His guide for the afternoon running the trolling motor angler Conrad Apodaca Jr claiming the second place position also had enough to win them both the Big Boat award for the derby. Rounding out third place also from the back seat position was angler Conrad Apodaca Sr. Big Fish for the day went to Big Ed Cazares landing a 5.02lb northern strain largemouth. Welcome to angler guests Raider Joe and Carlos Chacon both fishing in their first CBC derby. As usual the Piru park staff was very friendly accommodating and welcoming which gave way to fun times with great weather and lots of laughs.
