The CBC gang head out to Pyramid Lake last weekend for the 4th stop of our tournament trail. Weather was predicted to be good, the line wasn’t too long, and everyone showed up with their cups overflowing with excitement and confidence. There had been some tales of guys allegedly having some “good times” during the practice sessions.
The weatherman was right and it was a hot day with minimal wind heading into the afternoon. The algae bloom had the water green but not too messy. The 6 hour tournament format was just the right amount of time on the water and it allowed us to BBQ some dogs after the weigh in. Good stuff!
The weigh in saw multiple teams with 5 fish limits, but the fish did manage to elude a few teams. There were multiple Big Fish contestants brought to the scales, couple 5’s and few good 4’s. The weigh in was CLOSE! I mean the difference of a weight in the stomach close…..IF WE WERE FISHING FOR WALLEYE! The last podium spot was even decided by Big Fish, and even that was close.
Take a peak below for yourselves.
Thank you to everyone that helped at the weigh in and the BBQ.
Remember to take photos of your fish.
Next stop: 8/19 Silverwood
