July 13, 2013 will be the date of our Lake Perris SRA July event. This will be a Bass Contender team event format. We have obtained a variance from the California Department Of Fish and Wildlife for a three fish bag limit and twelve inches minimum per team. For those of you who do not know ALL tournaments between June 15th and September 15th must be a six hour event due to DFG regulations.
We will meet on the side of the road in front of the Perris Auto Speedway and Fairgrounds at 2:00PM on Saturday July 13, 2013. The Perris Speedway is located at 18700 Lake Perris Drive off of the Ramona Expressway off ramp from CA Interstate 215. We will hold our MANDATORY pre tournament meeting at 2:15PM. DFG variance slips will be handed out to each team participating in this event so you MUST be present to be eligible for this tournament. We will enter in one single line formation where Tournament Director Big Ed will lead the pack to the kiosk where gate fees will be collected. We have been guaranteed entrance to the park even if it is at full overflow capacity. Please make sure your boat is tagged for Quagga Inspection prior to derby day and mandatory meeting.
This is a team event format. The bag limit is Three Fish per team, minimum Twelve Inches mouth closed tail swipe. We will launch upon entering the parking lot and meet up at the 5MPH bouey line where we will blast off in the order we drew. Each tow vehicle and team will be given two colored ribbons at the tournament meeting. One ribbon MUST be tied to the driver side wind shield wiper and the other ribbon MUST be tied securely to the top of the trolling motor where it is visible in plain site in both the up or down position. All boats MUST have your bow and stern lights ON once the sun has gone down. Speed limit is 5MPH in the dark and every angler MUST have a glow stick attached to their person after dark.
The non boater fee for this event is $35 paid directly to the boater plus ½ of the $18 gate fee. The tournament fee is $35 paid to the Treasurer at weigh in. Five dollars is added to cover variance fees. Prospective guest members are normally not allowed to compete for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place finish or for Big Fish prize. Due to the team event format guest prospects have the option to pay the $35 tournament fee which will make them eligible to compete for placing and Big Fish prize. If a guest prospect wishes to only pay the normal $6.00 guest tournament fee they will only compete for Big Boat prize. The tournament draw and launching order is as follows:
