Last weekend the CBC Gang got together in celebration of another successful season. The festivities were held in the beautiful city San Dimas at the home of Chris G and Sandy. Let me tell you, these two can put on a party!
The good times were off the scales. With the taco man had us quiet for a few minutes, but the beverages and music had us back to our yelling voices in no time.
It was great to see some the guys bring their better halves out, I think that helped keep some the stories as close to the truth as possible.
After dinner we turned the music down, gathered a little closer, and got ready for what we were all really there for, THE RAFFLE. LOL! While the raffle is super exciting, we really got together to celebrate the awards for Angler of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement award.
This years Lifetime Achievement award is given to the club member that has throughout the many years, has always kept the integrity of the club a top priority. This guy is top notch and just a blast to be friends with. Thank your your years of experience and knowledge, Mr. Smokin’ Joe Nava! We all share our love and appreciation to you.
The Angler of the Year for the 2022-2023 season is no stranger to this award. The scoreboard has 5 on it next to his name, because this is his 5th Angler of the Year. Congratulations to Alfred “The Silent Assassin” Vasquez. Way to go!
The raffle saw both winners and losers, but you can’t win if you don’t play!
Thank you to everyone that made this a night to remember. Special thanks to Big Ed for working with Dobyns, and everyone else that pitched in with help.
