2025 is officially in the books, and if this year proved anything, it’s that the California Bass Contenders know how to show up, fish hard, and still have a good time—whether the bite was on or not.
Between tournaments and meetings, and the dock talk, this season had everything: tough days on the water, a few good patterns cracked, and plenty of laughs along the way. Not everyone made every event (myself included), but participation stayed strong, and the camaraderie never slipped. If you were there, you know—this group keeps it fun no matter the conditions.
Our December meeting wrapped things up the right way: everyone together, stories being told (some exaggerated), plans already being made for next year, and a reminder that at the end of the day, it’s just fishing. We’re competitive, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously—and that’s exactly how it should be.
Looking ahead to 2026, the goal is simple: more time on the water, more events, more laughs, and maybe fewer farmed fish. Thanks to everyone who fished, helped out, and kept the club rolling this year.
