Results: Pyramid Oct 13th

October 13, 2012 by BigEd

Pyramid early morning launch before the general public worked our great. We were all on the water by 6:00am and met at the bouey line in the dark just before safe light. Wind was blowing bigtime but the excitment kept all 20 anglers from noticing. It was a beautifull sunrise as all 20 anglers blasted off in different directions. This day brought two new anglers to their first tournament, prospective brothers Adam Day and Eddie Obrien as well as another appearence by John Hernandez and Little Big Ed Jr.

Kenny Isago won 1st Place and Big Fish with his partner Derrik Yoshinaga bagging 2nd place.

Kennys Big Fish weighed in at 7.19lbs

Landed near the frewway cove boat dock on a MMIII drop shot

His other fish came by way of texas rig black grape off the dam rip rap

Derrick fished frogs for one fish, cranks for two fish and worms to land his fourth fish giving him a bag of 7.68lbs. Kennys and Derriks combined weight of 16.39lbs was plenty enough to land the Big Boat honors for the “Pride at Pyramid”. These guys are good at what they do and they will tell no lies as long as you ask no questions.

For everybody else fishin was tough for the most part, the camaraderie was excellent. No five fish limits made it to the scales. It was a dink fest of massive proportions for the blue Champion with some fiesty striper action in the first ten minutes. I would like to thank the Basscontenders club for allowing me to fish with my son Little Ed. I can’t tell you what a blast it is for us to fish a tournament together father  & son, laughing, arguing, losing tackle is all part of a fun day on the water. These are memories that will last a lifetime and once again I say thanks.

Very similar results for a club fishing Pyramid the day after we did: https://castaicbassclub.com/blog/?p=910

See you all at the meeting in November!
