The Castaic Bass Club Challenge will take place on Sunday September 15, 2013. This annual event is a tournament for organized bass clubs in Southern California to compete against other Southern California Bass Clubs. This event is hosted by the Castaic Bass Club. There is a DFG variance for four fish and 13″ minimum length for each team partcipating. Only the top three combined weights from each club are considered for the bass club challenge to determine the overall winner, runner up etc. A free barbecue and entertainment is provided in this event after and during the weigh-in. This event is a great way for the club to promote the love for the sport and to network with other chapters who have the same ambitions.
The tournament will launch from the West Ramp and entry will atke place early prior to the general public. Gates will open at 4:00am and quagga inspection will occur at that time so make sure you are clean and dry. There are no fees required for the Bass Club Challenge only regular gate fees as you enter. As for our own club tournament, this will be a tournament with in a tournament, we will use our team tournament format and regular tournament fees will be collected by our treasurer. All the weights will be determined and recorded by our secretary and tournament director just like any other regular event. Basscontender points and winners will determined through the Bass Club Challenge weigh in. Details will be given at our regular monthly meeting prior to the tournament draw at MichaelAngello’s.
